Eat at The Malt Man
Whatever you are looking for, The Malt Man is a great place to eat on Fort William’s High Street. Food is available from midday through until late evening every day. Whether you’re looking for some pub food; a light snack to keep you going throughout the day, or a more relaxed restaurant meal in the evening, you’ve found the right place to dine.
Our approach to food served at The Malt Man has always been quite simple. We aim to provide an imaginative and interesting menu at affordable prices. That doesn’t mean we’re the cheapest in town, but it does mean that we’re serving great food with great value for money. The atmosphere in the pub and restaurant in Fort William is always very casual and relaxed. We aim to provide a high degree of satisfaction by using fresh ingredients and preparing much of our food to order.
In addition, though our autumn and winter months we also serve daily specials, including soup & sandwiches, a selection of wraps and other daily specials.
Open daily from midday and taking orders through until 9pm, our Alehouse Bar Menu provides everything from light snacks through to more substantial meals. The style is informal, but the attention to detail is still there.
Accompanied children and young persons under 18 are welcome in the Alehouse until 10pm. Please ask if you require a high chair – we have a small number available on request. Dogs are very welcome in the Alehouse.
The Restaurant
The Restaurant is generally open in the evenings from 5pm. We describe our menu as imaginative and a little bit eclectic, with something for everyone. As restaurants go, our style is also relaxed and informal. We regret that dogs (with the exception of Assistance Dogs) are not permitted in the restaurant – please ask for a table in the Alehouse if bringing your dog.
